This time Tipping Points #10 is coming to Graz with strong cooperation partners! We don't always want to just sit in our own juice, but rather create meaningful offers for others. To do this, we not only listen around locally and look for connections, but we also get other actors on board. This time it is System Change, not Climate Change Graz and the Junge Linke.
What does that mean?
We have been in contact with groups for months and, firstly, we try not to be too tied to just one movement - Tipping Points has useful skills for many groups - and secondly, to listen to different needs and program requests. This time we have developed particularly close connections with Junge Linke and also invited their speaker to our team. People from System Change in Graz help with logistics and establish contacts. This means we can incorporate different perspectives throughout the entire process and tailor the program (workshops and supporting program) to current skills needs.
Parties and Protest on the streets? Party vs. protest?
Together with Junge Linke, we have chosen a key topic that is currently of concern to many people: What is the relationship between parties and social movements? What do extra-parliamentary groups think about the 2024 elections, hyped top candidates and the current and future (city/state/federal) governments? You will read more about this here soon when we publish the workshop program.
Together
Tipping Points is formally organised and carried by Humus. But we always have a bigger team (this time we have two new team members) and permanent and temporary cooperation partners because social movement need all our power. That's why we are currently writing on a handbook with our international Tipping Points partners..
