Program TP #12

Um möglichst viele Menschen für unsere Anliegen zu gewinnen, brauchen wir mediale Aufmerksamkeit – doch leider reicht es nicht, die richtigen Argumente zu haben oder Proteste zu organisieren, damit Medien in unserem Sinne darüber berichten. Dieser Workshop liefert konkretes Handwerkszeug für die Medienarbeit sowie bei der Planung von Kampagnen und Aktionen. Wie funktionieren Medien, wie erreichen wir sie, was muss in eine Presseaussendung stehen und wie nutze ich Social Media für Pressearbeit. Daneben beschäftigen wir uns auch mit Überlegungen zu Zielgruppen sowie darüber, welche Werte wir mit unseren Botschaften ansprechen wollen.

Gemeinsam schauen wir die 30-Minütige Doku „Rette sich, wer kann“ von andererseits: In der Nacht vom 14. Juli 2021 sind bei einer Flut im Ahrtal 12 Bewohner*innen in einem Heim für Menschen mit Behinderungen gestorben. In dem Film sprechen wir mit Betroffenen, Angehörigen, Expert*innen und Verantwortlichen. Hätte ihr Tod verhindert werden können? Wie gut funktionieren Katastrophenschutz-Maßnahmen für Menschen mit Behinderungen? Und hat sich das seit der Flut verändert?

Danach diskutiert Michael Hittenberger mit Betroffenen und Expert:innen zur Situation heute. Was hat sich seither getan? Hatte die Katastrophe im Arthal Auswirkungen auf den Katastrophenschutz in Salzburg? Was müssen Staaten/Länder tun? Wie können Aktivist:innen das Anliegen unterstützen?

Workshop zur emanzipatorischen Politisierung des Alltags mit xenofeministischen Protokollen. Wenn das Private politisch sein soll — wie genau wird es dazu? Wie können wir uns in unseren Nahbeziehungen so organisieren, dass wir als widerständige Bewegungen handlungsfähiger werden? Wie lassen sich Formen von Alltag und Community, die an unserer Ohnmacht nichts oder nur zu wenig ändern, konstruktiv in Frage stellen und strukturiert überwinden? Wie können Fürsorge-Politiken und Umverteilungen von privatem Wohlstand skaliert werden? Und wo anfangen bzw. weitermachen auf dem Weg zu einer Sorgenden Stadt, die Widerstand gegen Herrschaftsformen reproduzieren hilft und das gute Leben für alle greifbar macht?

In diesem Workshop stellen wir die Kampagne „Building Caring Cities from Below“ vor, mit ihren Zielen und Werkzeugen. Im Fokus stehen dabei verschiedene xenofeministische Protokolle, die bei der emanzipatorischen Politisierung des eigenen Alltags und der privaten Nahbeziehungen helfen können, sowie erste Erfahrungswerte zur Anwendung der Protokolle. Die Teilnehmer*innen haben die Möglichkeit, nach eigenem Interesse ausgewählte Protokolle besser kennenzulernen:

• Zur regelmäßigen Aushandlung verschiedener Dimensionen der emanzipatorischen Organisierung innerhalb bestehender Nahbeziehungen / Communities durch Care Plena
• Zur Etablierung von belastbaren und ausgewogenen, geschlechterübergreifenden Care-Strukturen in Form von Care-Myzelen
• Zur Gestaltung von Care-Brigaden bei konkreten größeren Problemstellungen
• Zur Vermittlung zwischen verschiedenen Care-Organisierungsformen, formell wie informell

Der Workshop richtet sich an alle, die nach Wegen suchen, Care und das Privatleben (noch effektiver) emanzipatorisch zu politisieren, die Interesse am Konzept der xenofeministischen Protokolle haben und/oder die Strategien erarbeiten oder weiterdenken wollen, wie wir die Sorgende Stadt widerständig verwirklichen können.

In this session we bring together activists, educators, organisers and all those concerned with crisis, collapse and transformation. Whether you have long been active in this field or are just starting to explore it and looking for skills – you are welcome.

In the first part, we will share practical methods and insights from our project „Skills for Crisis“. We will give impulses to change how we see crisis and collapse. We practice concrete methods that may help to sustain us & collectives and share what we believe are skills to nurture in times of crisis.

In the second part, we give space to you. You are invited to contribute: with a short input about your work, a story, skills you learned in times of crisis, a method, your art or simply your perspective. We will facilitate this space and you can join us with and without contribution.

Let’s connect, learn from each other, and strengthen our collective resilience.

Viele Gruppen kämpfen mit zu wenigen Ressourcen. Oft ist ein Ausweg, neue Mitglieder zu suchen. Doch diese so einzubinden, dass sie tatsächlich Arbeit abnehmen und auch längerfristig dabei bleiben ist gar nicht so einfach! In diesem Workshop überlegen wir, was es dafür braucht, dass neue Leute dazu kommen können, sich zurechtfinden, etwas beitragen und auch dabei bleiben. Dabei untersuchen wir verschiedenste Faktoren: Kommunikation, Sicherheitsbedürfnisse, Zugänglichkeit, Kultur, Struktur und Jahreszyklen. Es wird erfahrungsbasierte Inputs seitens der Referentin geben, sowie Austausch unter den Teilnehmenden, Reflexion der eigenen Strukturen und gegenseitige Beratung. Am Ende stehen hoffentlich einige Handlungsideen, die in der eigenen Gruppe oder Organisation umgesetzt werden können.

Einführung in ‚Art of Hosting & Harvesting‘ (= Kunst des Gastgebens bedeutsamer Gespräche).

Was trägt zu gelungenen Meetings bei? Wie bereitest du dich und den Raum vor? Und was hilft dir, mit herausfordernden Situationen umzugehen? Ein Workshop, der auf die Fragen & Erfahrungen der Teilnehmenden eingeht, anregende Impulse gibt und Raum zum Üben und Reflektieren bietet.

Dekoloniale Denker*innen wie Vanessa Andreotti und das „Gesturing Towards Decolonial Futures“ Kollektiv (GDTF, https://decolonialfutures.net/) gehen davon aus, dass die Ursachen der Vielfachkrisen unserer Zeit sehr tief liegen. Und zwar in schädlichen modern-kolonialen Gewohnheiten (in uns selbst und um uns herum), die unser Denken und Fühlen prägen. Dazu gehört, dass wir uns als voneinander und von der „Natur“ getrennt und als „außergewöhnlich“ betrachten, oft bewusst oder unbewusst aus einem Überlegenheitsgefühl agieren und dabei weiteren Schaden anrichten. Sogar dann, wenn wir glauben, mit den besten Absichten zu handeln.

How can we become capable of acting in situations of collapse? Based on findings from disaster research, we explore strategies and tactics for ecological movements in the face of climate collapse. We develop concepts of collapse, disaster solidarity and social capital. We consider how we act in situations of collapse and reflect on how we want to organise ourselves in view of collapse.

Music can empower and activism can shift power. With this acoustic activism workshop we explore a wide range of protest music and write our own protest song. You do not need to be a writer or a singer. You need to be brave enough to share a bit of your thoughts and a bit of your feelings on a social justice topic that is dear to your heart. You can write in your language of preference. In the first part we immerse into different songs and explore the building blocks of a song. In the second part we do little writing exercises and we end in a sharing circle where you can read, rap or sing your lyrics and we support each other by active listening. We learn how to welcome and express our political emotions through music. You will leave with lots of sticky chants and some work in progress songs.

Wir erleben eine Zeitenwende, in der unsere natürlichen Lebensgrundlagen und demokratische Systeme gleichzeitig erodieren – und mit ihnen bisherigen (politischen) Gewissheiten. Wie können wir uns angesichts dessen effektiv organisieren? Wir müssen wachsen, indem wir jenseits unserer Blasen uns mit anderen verbinden und sie für diverse Anliegen und Engagement gewinnen.  In diesem Workshop lernen wir, mit Hilfe von Werkzeugen, neue Zielgruppen zu identifizieren und wie wir sie erreichen können. 

This workshop invites us to explore mental health not as an isolated personal issue, but as something deeply shaped by collective trauma, systemic collapse, and the grief of living in a world marked by violence, genocide, and ecological destruction. In this workshop, we will collectively practice foundational exercises like nervous system regulation, and relational skills such as deep listening and witnessing. We hope that they may be helpful in times of crisis and to grasp oppression and its impacts – helpful for you as individual or for co-regulating with friends, comrades and in community. This workshop is inspired by Collective Care Berlin. It will be led by Fine from Educat Kollektiv and was developed as part of “Skills4Crisis” project.

Wir erarbeiten uns zuerst eigene Definitionen der Begriffe Geborgenheit, Kunst und Aktivismus. Welche Rolle spielen bestehende Machtverhältnisse dabei? In einem zweiten Schritt überlegen wir, was wir brauchen, um uns geborgen zu fühlen. Zum Schluss machen wir Pläne, was wir tun wollen, um uns geborgen zu fühlen.
Dabei ist viel Platz für Spiele, Erfahrungen, Dekonstruieren, Emotionen und Bedürfnisse. Ziel des Workshops ist das Erarbeiten einer individuellen, authentischen Rolle innerhalb einer sozialen Bewegung.

In diesem Workshop gibt es eine kleine Einführung in die Planung von Kleingruppenaktionen. Manches davon werden wir uns interaktiv erarbeiten und ich werd auch noch die ein oder andere Erfahrung und Tipps reingeben. Der Workshop soll euch befähigen einen Einstieg in Kleingruppenaktionen jeglicher Art zu finden, Ängste & Hürden abbauen, und euch Tools an die Hand geben mit denen ihr euch sicher fühlen könnt, ohne dabei das Rad neu erfinden zu müssen 🙂 Ich freu mich über rege Beteiligung!

In Austria, access to cash for people in the asylum system is increasingly being restricted and “replaced” by a so-called payment card. This limits those affected to a few expensive shopping options such as supermarkets and prevents them from shopping at weekly markets, in small shops, or for second-hand goods. Depending on the federal state, drugstores, pharmacies, and public transportation are also sometimes excluded. This is based on racist arguments and motives such as preventing so-called asylum fraud and expanding control and harassment of people on the move. In the workshop, we will provide an overview of the status quo of the payment card in Austria (how does it work, how do the federal states differ, and what are the plans for the future? ) as well as ways to organize in solidarity against it. We will share experiences from existing practices in Germany and Austria and discuss further approaches to show solidarity with those affected.

Before we depart again, we want to come together again as activists, educaters, organisers, change makers who have been working on the issues of crisis, collapse, prepping, and what ever else you might call it.

From 11:00 – 12:00 we will all share impressions of the weekend, have a chance to invite each other to future events and check-in if we want some sort of long-lasting connection (eg. e-Mail list).
From 12:00 – 14:00 there is time and space for self-organised exchanges in smaller rounds. There might be regions who want to connect stronger, or smaller groups interested in more specific aspects of the topics, etc.

We can use the space as we feel it’s useful for us and the cause.

Deep adaptation, tipping points, climate collapse, collapse café, collapse camp, solidarity prepping, adaptation instead of mitigation, anticipating future crises... slowly but surely, the end of the world as we know it is becoming an increasingly prominent topic in many political discussions. This is also the case at Tipping Points. We discuss with our guests whether this trend was a strategic decision and, if so, whether it is promising.

Questions we ask ourselves: Where does this topic come from? What does collapse actually mean? How can it be embedded in a global context? What do we personally associate with it? Does it make us feel hopeful or hopeless? Will it reach people within the bubble? Or is it a new wave of mobilization? And where will all of this this lead us?

Everyone interested in the topic is invited to this discussion - whether you are planning to take part in workshops at "Tipping Points" or not.

From: Students for Palestine

On Sunday morning, activists from Students for Palestine and Voices of Palestine will prepare a brunch. The donations will be used to cover the costs of repression faced by the activists involved in the action at the Salzburg Festival.

Throughout the weekend, we all attended different workshops, sometimes four different ones at the same time—and all of them were interesting. If only we could split ourselves up... But luckily, there are many of us. In this session, we gather our impressions from the various workshops and share them with each other—long live collective intelligence!

Afterwards, we want to find a good conclusion together, say goodbye, and provide an opportunity for feedback before there is a leftover meal.
